About me and my practice
You may be feeling stuck, be experiencing repetitive thought patterns or be feeling lost or overwhelmed. I see my role as to sit alongside you, and to build a trusting relationship where you can be yourself and to give you space to make sense of how you are feeling and work towards any change that you are seeking.
I have a special interest in anxiety, bereavement and loss. I have a wide range of experience, some examples being, low mood, relationships, loss, low self-esteem and low confidence. Some of my clients are considered neurodivergent and some have experience of long-term health conditions.
I work mainly in a person-centred way, I am led by you and your needs, and I believe that our therapeutic relationship is key. I integrate other approaches when helpful. I have trained in working in a trauma informed way and I am also experienced in working creatively, especially with young people.
Experience
My experience includes a college setting, the NHS and private practice. I offer a free 20-minute telephone call or TEAMS call, so you can see if you feel that we would be a good fit.
Qualifications
Counselling Qualifications:
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Level 4 Award in Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling.
Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling (ACTO).
Transactional Analysis 101.
Level 2 Award in Safeguarding for Counsellors.
Other Qualifications:
Bsc (Honours) Psychology
I am currently studying the Level 6 Advanced Specialist Diploma in Child and Young Person Counselling.

Initial Consultation
I will offer you a free 20 minute telephone or TEAMS call. Although we will not be able to go into depth, I will ask you about what you would like to bring to counselling and what your needs are. You will have an opportunity to ask me any questions and see if I am the right fit for you. If you wish to go ahead we would book in six initial sessions. They would normally be for the same time each week. Please ensure that you have privacy during our consultation call.
